This page lists some of the horses owned by Debi Crowley and is quite incomplete at the moment. The horses listed on this page are not generally for sale, but will likely be for sale in the future. Most youngsters raised at Cotton Meadows Farm are not offered for sale until they are confidently working under saddle. A few of them are kept until they have experience in the show ring. Please check our Sales page to see what is currently available.
Competition Horses

Master Manipulator (aka "Mikey")
Mikey is a 2001, 16h Thoroughbred gelding that Debi purchased from Cathy Sweezey of Timbertown Stables in Lexington, KY. Mikey has had quite a bit of training and has competed in hunters and jumpers, but had no eventing show experience before Debi bought him. He is a fabulously brave jumper with great jumping style and is also a very nice mover so Debi has great expectations for him in the eventing world. Debi and Mikey will compete at the Novice level this spring with hopes of moving up to Training level in the summer or fall.

Bold Jedi ("Jed")
Jed is a wise, aged thoroughbred gelding that has been with Cotton Meadows Farm for many years. He was purchased from his original owner after successfully racing until he was 9. From there, Debi taught him jumping and dressage and his initial years at CMF were spent primarily as Debi’s field hunter. He was also shown at some local dressage shows with great success. In his many years since then, Jed has been leased by various young riders and adults while they were learning to ride. Jed’s 27th birthday is in March of 2008 and he’s now enjoying a well deserved retirement.

Martin
Martin is a lovely aged Trakehner gelding that is solid at training level dressage and jumping to 3'. He was bred and raised by Dr. Sam and Lucia Eidt who still own him today. Martin has lived at Cotton Meadows Farm in years past and the Eidts have now graciously allowed us to care for him again. Martin is very kind and quiet, yet moves forward freely and willingly. He is available for lessons to intermediate riders that have some previous dressage or jumping experience.

The Farm Mascot!

Napoleon
Napoleon is a miniature mule that was born on 3/30/06. He was born premature and spent his first week at the University of Tennessee vet school. When he returned home, his mother didn't accept him so he nursed from a goat and was pan fed. He came to Cotton Meadows Farm when he was a month old and is a source of constant entertainment. As you can see from the photos, Napoleon and Dax, our German Shepherd, are great friends.

Youngsters and Broodmares

Carmelita Kitten ("Lita")
Lita is a classy looking 2001, 16.2+h Thoroughbred mare by Cat Doctor out of a Clever Trick mare. She had her first foal, a beautiful bay filly by Windfall, in May 2008 and is bred to Stiletto (ATA) for 2009. Lita came to us sound off the track and had enough training at CMF for us to know that she is a nice balanced mover and a naturally talented jumper. Lita has been inspected and approved for breeding with very good marks by the American Trakehner Association (ATA) so her foals by approved Trakehner stallions will be eligible for registration with the ATA.

Quinn
Quinn is Tia’s 2004 gelding by Windfall, bronze medal winner on the US eventing team at the 2004 Olympics and winner of the 2004 Rolex Modified CCI**** with Darren Chiacchia aboard. Combined with the eventing bloodlines in Tia’s pedigree, we have high hopes that this boy will be a future eventing champion! Quinn was started under saddle in the summer of 2007 and has prove to be an extremely quiet and eager learner. Check www.newspringfarm.com for pictures and more information about Windfall, Quinn’s sire.

Quinn (Tia X Windfall)
Anette ("Camille")
Camille is a 2005 NA/WPN mare by Sir Sinclair out of a Contango mare. We purchased this mare as a yearling as an upper level dressage prospect and possible future broodmare. She has been bred to Idocus for a 2009 foal and then we expect her to spend several years in the show ring. Camille is a big, strong girl already standing 16.3 h on her third birthday. She has the looks, movement and temperament indicative of her breeding.

Visions of Grandeur ("Tia")
Tia is a 2000 chestnut Thoroughbred/Trakehner mare by Mystic Replica, a Thoroughbred son of the legendary Babamist. With her pedigree of athletes and her unflappable quiet nature, we have high expectations for her foals. She has been inspected and approved for breeding by the American Trakehner Association (ATA) so her foals by approved Trakehner stallions will be eligible for registration with the ATA. Tia has produced 2 colts by Windfall, bronze medal winner on the  US eventing team at the 2004 Olympics, and a colt and filly by A Fine Romance, a TB producer of winning hunters and eventers. These foals (see below) will be for sale after they are going quietly and confidently under saddle and started over fences.
